Responsible disposal of pharmaceutical dissolution test equipment is essential to the protection of the environment. Distek, Inc. is committed to environmentally gentle business practices and understands the importance of proper recycling. The "crossed out wheelie bin" symbol (pictured)
on a product or on its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with domestic household waste. Instead, it is the user's responsibility to dispose of the waste equipment by handing it over to a designated collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic waste. The separate collection and recycling of waste equipment at the time of disposal will help to conserve natural
resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment.
Before disposing of used test equipment contact Distek for possible trade-in offers.
More information about waste equipment recycling may be obtained from the distributor, local city office,
or Distek, Inc.
Introduction to the WEEE and RoHS Directives
Companies selling a broad range of electrical goods in Europe are now required to comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) and conform to the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive, which bans the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and polyborminated flame-retardants (PBB's and PBDE's) in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). Although their equipment is excluded from the RoHS Directive, Distek is working towards eliminating all restricted substances from their products.
